You need to use the send_by_smtp() method and set the AuthUser and
AuthPass parameters.
This seems to have been added in the latest release 3.01_04 which, while
it's marked as being "developer release" is a year and a half old. It
does, however, have a worrying number of failures against it from the
CPAN testers.
