If the whole Konfabulator-turning-into-YahooWidgets thing doesn't bother
you, I always thought TenPlusTwo was a really neat Widget, though it
could be more customizable.
Again, not a Perl solution, but a related piece of technology.
This is a good starting point for other peoples' ideas for similar
stuff.
