Minh, Welcome! (Says the New Yorker :-) When I was first learning Perl, I found the Perl Cookbook to be very helpful because it taught by giving practical examples I could use right away. There is also now an "Intermediate Perl" book just out this year that is supposed to be a natural next step from Learning Perl.
