OO Perl Developer

The company that I am working with is a world wide provider of business
technology solutions that improve customers' productivity, profitability
and performance. Their commitment to excellence is the foundation of their
success and their employees are relentless in their pursuit of customer
satisfaction. Eight of the world's top 10 banks, nine of the top 10
pharmaceutical companies and more than 150 public safety agencies worldwide
count on them. This position would be good if you have a passion and drive
for success and like working with world-class professionals in an
environment that promotes free thinking and initiative, and rewards
creativity.

There is a Software Engineering opportunity in the Maynard, MA office.

They are looking for a OO Perl Software Developer. They are seeking a
creative and talented SW developer to join a small team, working in a
fast-paced environment. They have lots to do and offer lots to learn. For
this position, they are looking for someone who is capable of contributing
to a complex verification effort with substantial programming content in
order to automate the test and validation of our fault tolerant
product. The goal is to reach 100% automation in the testing and QA of our
product.

This individual will report directly to the Projects development manager
and the responsibilities are basically divided into three roughly equal
parts. First, shared responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the
automation framework written in OO Perl. Second, the candidate will be
responsible for extending the regression suite to enhance fault coverage;
this work often involves programmatic interaction with leading edge test
equipment. And lastly, the candidate will spend time triaging of issues
that involve cross-functional software components including stacks
developed by the company as well as open-source software. This work
generally requires intense interaction with the product development team,
3rd-party development partners, and occasionally end customers as well.

Experience developing in a QA environment is a plus.

The company is looking to pay $70-80k.
