There is a Software Engineering opportunity in the Maynard, MA office. They are looking for a OO Perl Software Developer. They are seeking a creative and talented SW developer to join a small team, working in a fast-paced environment. They have lots to do and offer lots to learn. For this position, they are looking for someone who is capable of contributing to a complex verification effort with substantial programming content in order to automate the test and validation of our fault tolerant product. The goal is to reach 100% automation in the testing and QA of our product. This individual will report directly to the Projects development manager and the responsibilities are basically divided into three roughly equal parts. First, shared responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the automation framework written in OO Perl. Second, the candidate will be responsible for extending the regression suite to enhance fault coverage; this work often involves programmatic interaction with leading edge test equipment. And lastly, the candidate will spend time triaging of issues that involve cross-functional software components including stacks developed by the company as well as open-source software. This work generally requires intense interaction with the product development team, 3rd-party development partners, and occasionally end customers as well. Experience developing in a QA environment is a plus.
