Hi, I recently switched my web host from Apollo to Startlogic, since Apollo offers only Perl 5.8.0, and Startlogic has 5.8.2 -- good enough to install the latest versions of a couple of key Perl modules I use. My problem is that Startlogic's virtual private server (VPS) web interface software (Virtuozzo & Plesk ) is buggy and tends to crash unexpectedly, requiring a complete rebuild of the container. This wipes out the site and requires a complete restore. (Interestingly, Apollo uses the same software, but for some reason it's much more stable than Startlogic's). Startlogic's tech support is also extremely uneven. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of any web hosts that offer VPS, have a reasonably up-to-date version of Perl (5.8.2 or later) and halfway-decent tech support -- a tall order, I know (:->).
