I looked for something similar not long ago and found the WWW::Facebook::API
that you mentioned as well.  In a Google search I also found a link that
used to contain a module <http://dheera.net/projects/facebook.php>, but as
the page now shows, Facebook stepped in and asked them to take it down, even
mentioning the "L" word as a possibility.

Obviously this person didn't want to fight it using the 1st amendment and
any help the EFF and FSF could offer and did comply.  If you do find that
module, do let me know as I would love to have a look at it.
