Timeout for inactivity during Makefile.PL? [0]

If you're accessing the net via proxies, you can specify them in the
CPAN configuration or via environment variables. The variable in
the $CPAN::Config takes precedence.

Your ftp_proxy?
Your http_proxy?
Your no_proxy?
You have no /root/.cpan/sources/MIRRORED.BY
  I'm trying to fetch one
LWP not available
CPAN: Net::FTP loaded ok
Fetching with Net::FTP:
  ftp://ftp.perl.org/pub/CPAN/MIRRORED.BY
Timeout at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/Net/FTP.pm line 503
[r...@filer ~]# which ftp
[r...@filer ~]#

Oops. No ftp. But there is wget on the system.

Best -F
