I've used EditPlus: http://www.editplus.com/ on Windows for years. A small-time shareware app. with a responsive author. A good general programmer's editor with a decent Perl syntax mode. Last I checked it doesn't have some of the more modern features, like symbol navigation, and collapsible outlining, etc. It does however have have a reliable auto save feature, including saving unnamed buffers. (A pet peeve I have with most editors.) -Tom -- Tom Metro Venture Logic, Newton, MA, USA "Enterprise solutions through open source."
