The Perl developer will need to work closely with mms project managers, QA and customers' technical teams to set up and test shortcode-based marketing campaigns across carriers in the US and Canada. Responsibilities: * Scoping and assessing effort for customized client applications * Working with the clients to architect custom solutions based on mms messaging platform capabilities * Supporting the mms web-based messaging platform * Documenting the design of the application (sequence diagrams, UML diagrams, logic flow) * Development, unit testing and bug fixing * Source control management * Enhance existing server-side applications to support clients' business needs * Assist in troubleshooting and fixing production issues. Actively participate in design and code reviews for projects being worked on by other members of the team. Document existing implementation and new applications Requirements: Perl, mod_Perl, Apache, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Unix, Linux, Object Oriented, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Applications, Apache, UML, Visio, PHP, Mobile WAP applications development, excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. * BS/BA in engineering or computer science preferred * Minimum of 3-5 years experience with open source development, including Perl * Minimum of 3 years experience with web development, including Apache, HTML, XML and JavaScript * 3+ years experience developing highly scalable web applications * Experience with web-based reporting * Minimum 3 years experience working in Unix / Linux environment * Demonstrated ability to work in team environment * Strong analytical and communication skills * Strong experience with Object-Oriented Design and implementation * Ability to accurately identify problems, determine the best course for correction, and to successfully execute the decisions * Successful design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of high-traffic, multi-server web farm * Strong oral and written communications: ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical people * Organizational skills and great attention to detail If you have the desire to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment working on some very cool mobile programs, send us your resume and cover letter: [email protected] MMS.US mobile.messaging.solutions 175 Portland Street, Boston, MA 02114 www.mobilemessagingsolutions.com MMS will only accept job applications from candidates who are properly documented with authorization to work in the United States.
