This email is not about perl. (It was inspired by the recent Perl mongers discussion of what it means to be a software architect. I agree with Bill Ricker's assessment. The meaning of this job title has become very fluid in this job market.)
If you are an architect, or want to become an architect, you should know about the organization IASA (International Association of Software Architects). It has an active New England chapter. The next meeting is Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM (ET) at Microsoft Office 201 Jones Road MPR-B, 6th Floor Waltham, MA 02451 It is free. Go to http://iasane.eventbrite.com/ to register. (Look for IASA or IASANE.)
