Position: Web Application Developer
Status: Permanent, full-time
Department: Software Engineering
Reports To: Group Manager, Software Engineering

*Overview*

CIDC is a growing, profitable internet-based software company, responsible
for the Everest Gaming Suite.  We are the development and marketing minds
behind premier online gaming and entertainment verticals used by millions
of people in over 200 countries worldwide.

CIDC is located at 150 Cambridge Park Dr in Cambridge, MA, near Alewife T
station.

*Duties and Responsibilities*

The Web Application Developer will contribute to the development of critical
business management tools, working closely with a User Experience Engineer
and Product Management as well as stakeholders and other team members. This
position focuses on the user facing portions of our web applications but
will also be involved in the complete software development life cycle.

*Skills and Qualifications*

 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 - Effective communication and organizational skills, demonstrable
   teamwork skills.
 - Self starter that is process centric, standards and best practices
   driven.
 - Proven ability to design attractive, intuitive user interfaces
   independently or in cooperation with usability and design teams
 - Perl in Unix/Linux environment
 - Building standards compliant web interfaces including cross-browser
   testing and the use of JavaScript libraries
 - Development of web applications involving Perl, Apache, HTML, CSS, AJAX
   and DBI/ORM tools (LAMP) in a production, customer facing environment
 - Experience with Mason (preferred), Template Toolkit or similar
   templating system
 - Experience with financial applications, Internationalization and
   Localization a plus
 - Working knowledge of MVC frameworks (such as Catalyst or similar) a
   plus, experience with Rose::HTML ideal
