Oh... thanks for this note. I have recently made a habit of connecting to irc.perl.org so that I could idle all day in #catalyst (in between panicked pleas for help). I shall now idle all day in #boston.pm as well. :) And my two cents regarding learning Perl: I learned Perl with O'Reilly's "Learning Perl", many years ago.
