If Droid is running a JVM then you ought to be able to run Clojure code on it -- a much more interesting language than Java, closer to Lisp, as someone on this list first noted a while back. If I were going to take the time learn another language right now Clojure might be it due to the prevelance of the JVM and Clojure's improvements over Java.
