Company is well established nationally and growing quickly on International scale. Environment in Boston office is small (15-20 people), dynamic and exciting. This position will have some flexibility as to working from home but is NOT considered a telecommuting opportunity. Perl/Java developer Skills Required: Perl, Java, SQL queries, Visio, Mobile WAP applications development, excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. * B.S./B.A. required - engineering or computer programming-related degree preferred, or equivalent work experience * Minimum of 3-5 years experience with open source development, including Perl and Java (must have). * Minimum of 3 years experience with web development, including Apache, HTML, XML and JavaScript Day to day activities would consist of: * Developing new enhancements to the existing platform and products based on Perl and Java. * Scoping and assessing effort for customized client applications * Working with the clients to architect custom solutions based on Company's platform capabilities * Technical support to customers on the use of the Company's platform * Documenting the design of the application (sequence diagrams, UML diagrams, logic flow) * Assist in troubleshooting production issues.
