Hi everyone, I am mostly just lurking here but this topic is very interesting to me, so I can't stop myself from giving my 2c worth of comment.
Jason, I loved your comment. I wish such insight and experience in trying with a start-up could be spread around the Perl community. Have you already written about your experience in a blog that could be shared? Have you given talks about this at Boston.pm or YAPCs? Maybe now... Alex, while in general I like the idea I have two major issues. Is this going to be open source or are you asking people to fund your closed source start-up? While I'd be happy to see new, Perl-based businesses, if this platform is supposed to be a "Better Wordpress in Perl", then I guess it needs to be open source. The other issue is that watching that video and reading the text I still don't know who you are? You are trying to raise 40.000 USD and I have no idea what is your experience in either programming or business, and if you can really deliver. I think it would improve your pitch if you could show what other things have you already built, or if we could already try MoDomhan as alpha users.
