I'm conjecturing that the "beefy modules in rarely encountered branches" issue was precisely that author's concern. The functions in the daemons were all pretty much orthogonal. There was just a tiny bit of shared functionality.

Other than beefy modules used in rarely encountered branches,
it seems like the goal should be to load as much as you can early
so that your children can share code pages, no?
