I'd just like to say that I love the public botnets list. I frequently
read the reports, then search my NSM data (I use sguil) for matching
traffic. I've also saved several postings that had useful
background info or bits of knowledge that weren't directly related
to individual botnets.
As you pointed out, making this information public has gone a long
way towards raising awareness of the problem, and that by itself
is an important goal.
