There is/was a lot of speculation of them still breaking the law even though they settled (http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/0523130/)So I just started seeing a bunch of http requests in the logs from the Zango! Toolbar. Some places are classifying this as spyware; their site denies it (obviously). They kind of appear legitimate, but I have my doubts. Obviously it's adware, but I was wondering if anyone else is seeing it much and if anyone knows if it is involved in click-fraud. It could just be that once installed it sends it's name in the user-agent field even for normal browsing, but I have some suspicions based on how popular it seems to be on two web sites that are under abnormally heavy load.------------------------------------------------------------------------
See: http://www.benedelman.org/news/112006-1.html#violations So its a matter of common sense if you ask me.1) Legislators (law makers, judges, etc) don't/won't/can't understand technology the way a "geek" would
2) Do you think that "geek" made modifications to continue doing their dirt 3) How productive is this tool barI'd trash it. If you'd like to, make a policy against it because of factual information (as linked to).
