On Thursday, October 6, 2005, Governor Bill Owens was presented with a petition signed by a few people, requesting that he develop internment camps, or holding pens, for "illegal immigrants” to await deportation. Governor Owens forwarded the petition to legal counsel even though it only had 150 signatures.
