The Children, Youth and Family Mediation Program wants to let you know about a class offered to the public through our Division. Read on below and feel free to spread the word.
Life Skills Class: December 5, 7, 12, 14 6:30pm - 8:30pm The Life Skills class
provides an opportunity to learn basic tools beneficial to both teens and
parents, including: decision making skills, managing conflict,
restorative justice principles, awareness of personal goals and
values, and development of effective communication skills. Through interactive activities and
discussion, issues addressed include:
Do my decisions get me to where I want to be in my life? Do I have ways of appropriately
addressing others when I am angry?
What decisions can I make now so that I can achieve my goals in the
future? How can I talk to people in
a way that helps me get what I need? Teens are accompanied in the class by a
parent or guardian. Zoe Kircos and Rachelle Clements are the trainers in
conjunction with the City of Robin Bohannan, Executive Director |
