28th Street closed Earlier this afternoon a contractor installing electric lines for Xcel Energy damaged a natural gas service on 28th Street between Canyon Boulevard and Pearl Street. 28th Street is currently closed in this area and will be closed through the rush hour into the evening. Travel through the area should be avoided at this time, and the public is advised to use alternate routes. The Boulder Police Department is assisting with detouring traffic.
