Human Services Alliance Monday, April 10 3:30 - 5:00pm [NOTE NEW TIME]   Hi, folks.  Susan Levy can't chair this meeting and has asked me to chair it.  I'm happy to do so, but y'all have to keep me from breaking into song and telling shaggy dog stories, ok?   I'm not sure where the meeting will be held, but will get back with you all when I know.   That being said, here's the draft agenda, and at this late-ish date I'll need some help with it as follows:   DRAFT agenda   1.  New HSA chair:    David Bolin and Jim Rianoshek had both previously declared interest....are either or both of you still willing?    2.  HSA website:        Update from Gerry Bristow from CFS, including any help she may need from us   3.  Immigration updates:       a.)    Anti-immigration efforts:  Update from Laurel Herndon and/or Jorge from Amistad (can either of you attend & present?)       b.)    Agencies were asked at last meeting to bring their statements & stories on the positive impacts that immigrants have on our orgs. and in our communities.  Kim Bowman had previously agreed to serve as point person to collect these stories:  Who else is willing to do this now that Kim has moved to Arizona?  (how dare she leave us, anyway?)   Do RSVP, Volunteer Connection, or United Way have any good local stories to share about immigrants' contributions to our community?       c.)    Immigration perspectives from human services funders like Community Foundation:  Morgan, do you have an updated report from a recent meeting of funders?       d.)    HSA policy statements:  Mary Cobb from Special Transit had agreed to review our existing policy statements to ensure they're inclusive on immigration issues, whether we need to have a separate statement, or incorporate into existing statements.  DEFERRED UNTIL MAY MEETING.   Old or new business:     --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jane Uitti, your non-voting HSA member & Secretary (303) 441-3562
