Outreach Coordinator/Case Manager

Full-Time

 

General Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Outreach Coordinator/Case Manager will address language and cultural
issues that are barriers to accessing services through outreach and
education to underserved sexual assault survivors (e.g., monolingual
Spanish-speaking people, people with disabilities, older people, gay,
lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people), their families, and others
in the community.  This person will also track all cases for MESA and
provide appropriate follow-up, client record management, and other
direct clinical services as necessary.  

 

Specific Duties

 

*        Provide case management and counseling services to sexual
assault survivors and their significant others.

*        Provide community outreach and develop liaison relationships to
facilitate access to services for underserved and Spanish speaking
survivors of sexual assault and their families.

*        Assist the prevention education program coordinators in
providing education and prevention programs to diverse groups.

*        Coordinate services with other county agencies (e.g., the
District Attorney's Office, local law enforcement agencies) involved in
sexual assault response through SARC (Sexual Assault Response Council).

*        Assist the Client Services Coordinator in recruiting, training,
and supervising volunteers on the 24-hour hotline.

*        Provide coverage and supervision for the 24-hour hotline as
needed.

*        Carry a pager during the 9-5 work day to be available for
client calls and Spanish-speaking needs of the team.

*        Coordinate and maintain coverage for the Spanish hotline.

*        Facilitate group meetings and educational programs for
monolingual, Spanish-speaking members of the Boulder County community.

*        Provide interpretation and translation services for MESA.

*        Implement and maintain the on-going Outreach Plan.

*        Provide short-term individual and/or group counseling to MESA
clients as needed.

*        Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

 

Requirements

 

*        Fluent Spanish-speaker required.

*        Understanding of issues and dynamics of sexual assault a plus.

*        Experience in case management.

*        Experience in LGBTQQI and Latino culture and community
networking.

*        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Compensation

 

            Salary range is $32,000-$36,000 depending on experience;
plus a generous benefits package
