Prostate Cancer Treatment Affected by Race and Marriage

A new study has found that a man's race and marital status appears to
influence his treatment options for prostate cancer. Black men are more
likely to choose radiation therapy, whereas white men choose surgery.
Single men were also more likely to choose radiation therapy, while married

Victories Lead to Fan Injuries

Researchers in the United Kingdom found that fan violence at sporting events

Pediatricians Group Condemns Steroid Use

The American Academy of Pediatrics has released a new policy statement
urging adults to keep a watchful eye on teen athletes and the use of

prevent the use of steroids and other performance-enhancing substances by
young people. A survey by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention found that about 7 percent of ninth-graders admitted taking
steroids without a doctor's prescription.

A new study has found that the well-being of America's children is the

due to obesity. Gains were experienced in such areas as improvements in
teen birth rates; violent child victimization and criminal activity rates;
smoking and alcohol and illicit drug use. The percentage of obese children
in the United States has tripled since the 1970s.
