Hello Richard: I have a relatively new MPower and I am not experiencing ANY battery issues. As long as I remember to pull all extra cards and turn off Bluetooth when I'm not using it, I get around 15 to 20 hours.
I do try and run the MPower down to zero before charging it about once per week or so, but no other special care.
