Several people besides yourself have been wondering this.  What I've told
them is that if you want a router to allow you to transfer files to and from
your BrailleNote/MPower and your PC's  then its the right move. If your
wanting to share a dial-up connection, it really won't work too well.
While you *CAN* use most routers with a dial-up connection, it tends to slow
down the process drastically.  The setup of the router is kind of tricky
also.

Routers are really designed to allow multiple computers/BrailleNotes to
share a broadband connection.  This way, any network delay that the router
causes isn't that noticeable. Many of the local phone companies are offering
DSL service at some really competitive rates. Here in Texas, I pay about $24
per month as part of my phone package.  This is actually less then some of
the larger ISP charges like AOL.
