My company does a lot of shipping via UPS, Fedex, and sometimes, DHL. In
all cases, UNLESS YOU SPECIFIC REQUEST FOR AN ADULT SIGNATURE, the delivery
drivers won't ask for one when they bring your product. Asking for a
signature COSTS A FEW DOLLARS MORE, and, with everyone trying to CUT CORNERS
... you get the drift!!
Also, all of these service providers CHARGE WHAT IS KNOWN AS A FUEL
SURCHARGE; UPS and Fedex just raised theirs over here--and they did it when
I was not looking! USPS rates just went up too, so we're in big, big
trouble especially since we can't PASS THE BUCK. The cost of doing
business--especially shipping--is becoming atrociously high.
