I don't have hearing aids yet. Our local specialist in his wisdom seems to 
think hearing loss at my age is perfectly normal and why should I care. The 
fact that I can no longer localize on sounds, understand speech, or hear in 
groups is just too bad. THus far I use amplification and hope to avoid 
distortion in the process.
