I know that it's referred to as a "memo recorder" and more than lives up to expectations in that regard. I was hoping to record such things as piano music with it and there is sort of a crackling sound in the background in recordings of that. Since recordings like this can be made with lap tops, I hope that there will be a way in a future release to upgrade the software to produce a higher quality in recordings.
