Oh, poor little guy. That's such a shame that his book was lost. I'm really sorry to hear it. Another precaution I'd probbably take in addition to backing up the flashcard would be to create a second copy of his books and stories to leave in another folder on his braillenote each day that he works on them. I'd keep a second copy at least until the flashcard is backed up on your computer. Here's hoping that it won't happen again, and that your son's second try with his book will be even more of a masterpiece than the first.
