Back in 96-97 when I was working for Rehab in Utah, I begged and pleaded for
Telesensory to make a notebook computer for me with a Braille display. Dave
Manseur left Telesensory and went into business for himself and made such a
notebook, and just when it was finished and he brought it for me to try, I lost
the feelign in my fingertips and was unable to use it...oh so sad. It was very
nice. Of course the difficulty of keeping up with the development of computers
and the cost of replacement is even worse than such with notetakers. I don't
know if he is still in business or what happened to that computer. IT had a
lovely Braille display. I really thik it is a nice option, but I still think
there is a place for the smaller footprint, longer battery life notetaker.
