Hello Cindy:

Who is your ISP?? I know that with some ISP's, they require that you use your
whole username including the domain part as your email log on. For example,
for user name in the communications configuration settings, I used [EMAIL
PROTECTED] and the same for my email log on. My ISP was Earthlink. I also
did some experimentation with setting the Server authentication to yes.

I do know that Sprint, for a while, did use some sort of data blocking to
prevent you from using your cell as a modem, but I thought they'd stopped that.
All of the cell companies will tell you that you should/need to buy their data
service for the best connectivity. This, in my opinion, is for the obvious
reason that they want you to spend more money with them. Keep to your guns and
make them tell you that connecting via analog (Regular non data type
connection) is impossible and they probably will back down.

Wish I could be of more help here.
Jeff
