To be truthful with you, I've never tried the wired network card inn the
side slot, but I don't notice any diference in battery draw between the
rear and the side slots with the Ambicom wireless card. There is
definitely more of a drawdown when the wireless card is in use. This
one would probably be one for Dean or Jonathan to answer.
