Hi folks - just aa thought on lost email files and behavior I have experienced
over the past three years. From my first horrible experience with losing
files, I have come to the conclusion that two methods of self-protection should
be put into practice:
(1) Keep a close watch on the size of the email.cdb file in Keylist, and
don't let it get too big - say 1.5 to 2 MB (I'm using a 16 MB storage capacity
machine;
(2) Watch the size of your attachments folder in terms of both number and space.
Long ago, I abandoned the BN standard backup as a waste of time and space.
Every few days, I simply backup the email file and the attachments to a folder
on a compactflash card.
It has saved me A LOT OF GRIEF in the past.
I'm at the point of plunking down the money on a new M Power, rather than
waiting for the Braille display transfer upgrade. I would appreciate any off
list comments that people would like to share on their experiences with me,
directed to:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Barry
