Hello Paul:

The MPower will save your voice recordings (Also known as voice memos) to any
drive or directory you choose. Right now, the MPower ONLY records in WAV
format, so the recordings can get kind of bulky, but, you can always move the
recordings over to a PC and use a third party software to convert them to mp3.
I use a free, and very accessible, product called Switch to convert most of my
audio files. If I have to do editing, I can use Sound Forge after moving them
to my laptop.

Also, you can choose to use the MPower's own internal microphone or attach an
external microphone so your lectures will be very clear. I've also used the
MPower sitting on a table with several people sitting around it, and recorded
the conversation very clearly using the MPower's own internal microphone. You
can even adjust the gain level of the microphone and the quality of the
recording to suit your needs and drive space. All recordings are time
stamped so it's easy to keep track of what and when you've recorded it.
