This is Joseph. PCMCIC stands for Personal Computer
Memory Card International Association. When you insert
a CF card with a PC card adapter, the BN says,
(depending on the model) "card inserted" or "PC Card
ready." The second response is only heard with mPower.
This slot is traditionally known as Storage Card
because keySoft treats whatever memory card is
inserted as a storage device regardless of the form
(PC card, CF card, or even an SD Card with mPower
only.). Originally, this slot has been used by Disk
Drive. I hope this information may help you.
p.s. There is even a PC card adapter for SD cards. You
may try them if you like.
