Hi folks,
I hope this isn't going to be seen as not relevant for the list. My question
concerns the wireless networking of the M-power on a network which has other
machines on it running the wpa encryption protocol. My router
is presently set to accept wireless G only, and I know I'd have to switch it to
accept both G and B if I wanted to use the M-Power on the network. In addition
to that, the wireless network is using the wpa encryption
between the router and other machines which are connected wirelessly. wpa is
obviously not available for the M-power. So if I want to keep my network
running wpa for those machines which can deal with that, can I
also run wep for the M-Power? That may be a question for the router vendor and
not the list. But if somebody's had experience on a mixed network of this type,
I'd surely love to know about it. I'm running a linksys
router with both wired and wireless connections at this time.
Mary
