Hi, all. I went to Powells Books on Hawthorne Street in Portland, where we're
visiting family. I was real excited about connecting to wireless, but again I
couldn't get connected. Or let me be more specific. I scanned for wireless,
detected the network, connected, but couldn't get onto the net. They gave us
the WEP code, which was 13 characters. That allowed me to connect to the
network faster, but I never could get connected to the net. I did resets,
tried changing some of the other settings, etc., but never could get it to
work. Have any of you Humanware people had this experience? If so, what causes
it? I got the cannot find page message, and the error message with email that
indicates I'm not connected. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll be able to
connect to my network when I get back home again. It's just too weird to have
wireless working so well and then not work twice in a row from two different
sites. It detected IP and dns addresses, and looked the same as my connec
tions that have worked in the past, but they didn't work. (sigh) Thoughts?
Comments? Suggestions for future connections?

Peggy
