Hello Katie,

In order to compress existing audio files, you would need to obtain an audio
editor such as Sound Forge.  There are a number of these types of programs
out there so I would recommend that you do a search on the net for sound
editing programs.  You need to be able to save the files to which you want
to listen, in one of the supported audio formats on the mPower.
