Really glad to hear you're connecting, doing email, and surfing the wet so 
effortlessly.

One of the really powerful things (pardon the punn) with the MPower is that 
there are several ways you can interface with your pc to exchange data.  

You can connect to a drive or folders on your pc without using activesync if 
you like, but you also have the option of using activesync for file transfers 
as well as 
part of the contact synchronizing process if you use outlook.  

If you don't want to install activesync, you need to enable file sharing for 
the folders you wish to be sharable on your pc just as you would if you were to 
access 
them via the network from, say, another pc.  

So, check out the manual and pick the approach which works best for you, and 
maybe even decide on having both the direct network connectivity and 
activesync available to you.
