This is why I use my wireless card in the side slot with a PCMCIA adapter,
rather than in the back slot. I've never had a problem with it and the
performance is about the same, at least with my unit. I know of some people
who have had trouble using a wireless card in the side slot.

Subject: [Braillenote] a thought about wireless access

I wonder if it might be possible to have wireless access built in
eventually rather than having to use a wireless card. The reason I say
this is because I've inserted mine and taken it out so much already,
that I'm afraid the slot will wear out. I'd rather just leave it in
place, but you can't close the case tightly with the card in place,
plus when I'm reading I like to have the braillenot propped up, kind
of resting on its back edge rather than lying flat.

Pam
