I have recently joined the list in the last week. I have a BrailleNote QT32
and I Love mine however, I would like to find out some information. After
contacting the American side of the HumanWare family, I want to know why if the
BrailleNote is made in New Zealand and there are several individuals who use it
from the United Kingdom, “Why can’t we as English speaking individuals, switch
from American to UK English”? When speaking to Kim in Customer service, she
indicated it was considered a foreign language and there fore, we can’t be
allowed to do that. I am sorry, the Machines are made in New Zealand, the
Merger is with a Canadian company and I am sure, there are several persons from
the UK living in the United States, that would like to write and communicate in
the native language of their home land. So, first of all Why can’t we switch
between the American and the UK English and is this something we can rectify?
Thanks!
