Hello Cindy and Joseph:

One of the coolest features of many of these modern PDA's is the ability to
synchronize address and calendar data with each other since many of them use
the Microsoft Outlook standard. I use an MPower, a laptop (running MS Outlook),
and a Nokia 6600 with the talks software and keep my address and calendar data
synchronized constantly to avoid major insanity. While Joseph is correct in
that we can't directly synchronize the data between MPower/BrailleNotes and the
Nokias, it is possible to do so in two steps using the PC/laptop as the
intermediary. Also remember that this synchronizing procedure will not work
with Outlook Express. You have to be running the full blown version of MS
Outlook.

I try and do most of my data entry for both my address book and daily
appointments on my MPower but it could be done on either the MPower or the PC.
I then synchronize the MPower with the PC using Active Sync and KeySync. I
won't try and go into the procedure for doing so *Unless needed) as several
wiser teachers have already done so on this list. Do a search on the archives
and you should find several explanations/demonstrations on how to do so. Once
the data is synchronized with the PC, I then synchronize, via Blue Tooth, the
PC with the Nokia using the PC Suite software provided by Nokia as a free
download. Once the procedure has been done the first time, it takes about 15
minutes to synchronize everything which I do about once per week.
