Hi, SPACE with M changes the reading mode, not to the reading mode. So pressing it once means that SPACE with Dot 4 moves by line rather than by sentence, and pressing it again will make another change, until you cycle back round to where you started.
I'm not sure on the PK how to change to reading mode - perhaps someone else can chip in. --- Matthew F.
