My older unit has done much the same thing. Try exercising the braille
display to see if it will come out of the dulldrums. This usually helps my
older machine. Type O with spacebar, I with spacebar, then x without
spacebar and you should be exercising your braille display.

I've had my BrailleNote since January of 2001 and am still using the same
battery. Could this be a sign that the battery has finally given up the
ghost?
