[Braillenote] mPower as braille terminal

I'm trying to get my mPower hooked up as a braille terminal on my PC. 
I'm running Jaws 7.  I told Jaws I have a BrailleNote when I installed 
it.

I've plugged in the serial cable on the mPower and PC.  I went to 
terminal mode and nothing happened.

So, I'm suspecting the serial port on either the PC or mPower needs to 
be configured so they're talking the same language.  Do I match the PC 
to the mPower or vice versa?  And in either case, where do I go to find 
the settings to match to, and then where do I go on the other device to 
find the settings to change?  And if anyone is using Jaws, is there 
anything I need to do with Jaws specifically?
