Joseph,
You can with a converter which costs somewhere between $160 and $250. One
may as well buy a USB or bluetooth printer for that price. I'm about to
try a infrared adapter with my embosser to see whether that could work with
a parallel port and that costs $62. As I also pointed out, it might be
possible in a future upgrade or patch that one could get a more generic USB
to parallel converter for less money! This the cost of the converter which
has been the issue here.

This is Joseph. I heard somebody from HumanWare
mentioned that the users of the mPower can connect to
parallel port enabled printer or embosser using USB to
parallel converter. For serial port, does you BN's
serial port parameter match the Mountbatten's serial
parameter? I hope this information may help you.
