This is Joseph. There is a post made by someone that
mentions this kind of issue. The best solution for
this kind of issue is to:
1. Fully charge your unit is 100% charged.
2. Disconnect from AC adapter and use your unit as you
normally would.
3. After 20 hours of use, the battery will be
completely flat. Note: once the "battery is critical"
message is given, you should immediately return to
Main Menu. Otherwise, you'll lose your data. After the
batteries gone flat, reconnect the AC adapter. The "AC
adapter on" message appears. Let it charge about 3
hours.
After performing this procedure and the gauge says,
"gauge is inaccurate," you should perfom Service
Reset. CAUTION: Service Reset has the same effect as
the Hard Reset. It'll disconnect the current that is
connected to the battery compartment and will
reconnect the current. After the reset is perfomed,
you should reset the date and time and so on. The
Service Reset can be performed by pressing Record with
Reset buttons. I hope this information may help you.
