Hi, Kristen and all: I may be wrong, but I never take my card out. When I am finished with E-mail or a web site, from the Main Menu, I press O, C, W, and N to turn off my wireless card. If I'm done with my unit, I shut it off. I've not had a battery drainage this way Have a great day, everyone.
