First of all, mine doesn't say card inserted card removed either. Second, When I put the card in the back slot and try to scan a network, my braillenote says "Wireless manager couldn't be started, Check that the adapter is present." Doesn't it mean that the card is not recognized?

Why do you believe it isn't recognizing the wireless card? Mine doesn't say card in card out when I insert or rmove the wireless card, but it knows it is there. Do you have a light probe The wireless card has a light in it. When you power up the light goes on and is blinking. When you make your connection the light becomes on cnstantly. When you power down it goes off. This is its indication it's there and recognized. It doesn't seem to work in the pcmcia adaptor in the side slot, you've got to put it in the back slot.
